QVault Support

QVault is a managed multi-factor authentication platform operated by QuantumGuard, Inc. for enterprise and government customers. Organizations use QVault to enrol their staff in strong authentication factors — authenticator apps, hardware security keys and passkeys, and one-time codes delivered by email or SMS — and to govern those factors centrally with a full audit trail.

This page is public and requires no account. It covers how to reach us, what messages QVault sends by SMS, and how to stop them.

SMS Messages from QVault

QVault sends SMS text messages solely as part of account security. This section describes every message the platform is capable of sending, how a number comes to receive them, and how to stop them.

What messages we send

  • One-time verification codes. A short numeric code used to confirm your identity when you sign in to QVault, or to confirm ownership of your number when you first enrol it. Codes expire within minutes and are single-use. Example: “123456 is your QVault verification code. It expires in 5 minutes.”
  • Security alerts. Notices about the security state of your account, such as a change to your enrolled authentication factors.

QVault never sends marketing or promotional messages via SMS. We do not send newsletters, offers, product announcements, or any other promotional content to your phone number, and we never sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing. Phone numbers are used only to deliver the security messages described above.

How you enrolled

Phone numbers are collected only through the authenticated QVault settings page, with explicit opt-in. A number reaches our system in exactly one way:

  1. You sign in to your QVault account and open Settings → Security.
  2. You enter your own mobile number in the SMS Verification section and choose to enable it, which is the opt-in to receive security text messages at that number.
  3. We text a verification code to that number, and the factor is enabled only once you enter that code — proving the handset is yours.

There is no other path. QVault does not accept numbers from web forms, imported lists, purchased data, or third parties, and an administrator cannot enrol a number on a user’s behalf.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any QVault SMS. We stop messaging the number immediately and remove the SMS factor from any account it is enrolled on, so that no account is left holding a sign-in method whose codes can no longer be delivered. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are treated the same way. You can also remove the number from Settings → Security while signed in.

If SMS was your only second factor, opting out leaves your account protected by your password alone. We recommend enrolling an authenticator app or a security key first.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any QVault SMS for a reply identifying the sender and pointing back to this page, or email support@qguard.net.

Message frequency varies and depends on how often you sign in — messages are sent only in response to your own actions. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include all major U.S. carriers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I opt out of SMS messages?

Reply STOP to any message from QVault. Your number is unsubscribed immediately and the SMS factor is removed from your account, so no further codes or alerts are sent to it. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are honoured the same way. You can also remove the number yourself at any time from Settings → Security in your QVault account.

Why am I receiving SMS messages from QVault?

You enrolled your phone number as a multi-factor authentication factor through your organization’s QVault settings. Enrolment requires you to be signed in, to enter the number yourself, and to confirm a code we text to it. QVault does not add numbers from any other source, and does not purchase, rent, or share phone number lists.

How do I contact support?

Email support@qguard.net. Support is available to enrolled platform users and to the administrators of their organization. Include your organization name and the email address on your QVault account so we can route the request.

I opted out by mistake. How do I start receiving codes again?

Replying START re-subscribes the handset, but it does not re-enable the security factor on its own — that would let anyone holding the phone restore a sign-in method. Sign in to QVault and re-enrol the number from Settings → Security, confirming a fresh verification code.

I received a code I did not request. What should I do?

Do not share the code with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from QuantumGuard. A code you did not request can mean someone else has your password. Change your QVault password and email security@qguard.net so we can review the sign-in attempts on your account.

Do I have to use SMS for multi-factor authentication?

No. SMS is one of several factors. QVault also supports authenticator apps (TOTP), hardware security keys and passkeys (WebAuthn), and one-time codes by email. You can enrol any of these instead of, or alongside, SMS.
